Casual Lands End Engagement Photos
So happy to be sharing these Lands End engagement photos! Lands End in San Francisco is one of those quintessentially Bay Area locations I love photographing. My couple wanted to have their engagement photos taken here, and I couldn’t have been happier.
We hiked around the lookout point to get the perfect Lands End engagement photos. This is the view from the top of Lands End Lookout, a picturesque point overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. You walk along a protected cove and climb up wooden steps to a cozy shelter on a cliff overlooking the bay below. The Lookout is within one of San Francisco’s best-kept secret outdoor recreation areas, Baker Beach!
I loved the wind-blown look we got along the coast. I’m not into overly posed photos, so I love having an unexpected element to give photos something unique. (Something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about engagement photos on the coast – it’s windy!) J&E were so easy-going, and we got the perfect combo of effortless chic paired with the California coast. Lands End is seriously the best of all worlds!
A gateway to the Golden Gate National Park, Baker Beach has really striking views. The red rocks of Lands End stretch for miles from this south-facing beach. The light all afternoon was beautiful, and the sunset against the rocks was so dramatic. San Francisco landscapes have so much to offer!
I’m definitely adding this location to my list of faves. I’m still relatively new to the Bay Area, so it’s really exciting for me to see such iconic locations with fresh eyes on each photo shoot. San Francisco has so many incredibly landmarks and scenic vistas, it’s hard to choose just one for a shoot. I love locations that offer variety for backdrops, and Lands End definitely doesn’t disappoint!
