I cannot even begin to describe the awesomeness of Carrie & Sean’s Pre-Wedding Field Day Extravaganza at the Mayacamas Ranch in Calistoga, CA. It’s challenging enough to plan a wedding, let alone a destination wedding, but Carrie & Sean went above and beyond to arrange this insanely fun old-school field day competition for all of their friends and family the day before their wedding. It was such a brilliant way to help everyone break the ice and get to know each other before the big day!
There were team headbands & team names and games like a water balloon toss, egg & spoon race, pass the sponge, swimming competitions, and even a canoe race! And this group may look friendly and mild-mannered, but let me assure you, they took these competitions very, very seriously. Carrie & Sean were equipped with whistles and stopwatches, and even disqualified one team for foul play! Carrie’s dad served as the referee and was the final word in making scoring calls. Ultimately, the Honey Badgers proved victorious and won the coveted Glass Vase of Beer. And to have the day’s activities all set against the backdrop of the rolling Calistoga hillside…just incredible.
